Personal Biography
My academic background has provided me with a comprehensive knowledge of the subjects I tutor. I achieved a first in my Bachelor’s degree and a 2:1 in my Master’s degree both of which are recognised by NARIC as the equivalent standard to UK qualifications of those levels. As part of my Ph.D. I had a number of journal and conference publications approved. I enjoy tutoring students of different levels and abilities. I have the ability to be able to explain complex subjects and areas in a way that my students can understand.

I have worked in industry, public service and academia and in two other countries. I have more than 20 publications in peer-reviewed journals and have presented original research at international conferences. I enjoy tutoring students of different levels and abilities. I am a motivated and personable mathematics specialist lecturer. This role allows me to put into practice my skills of planning and delivery of lessons with a clear focus on the needs of individual learners. This is something I take over to my private tuition work. I have a strong understanding of different learning styles, alongside differentiation through an array of teaching methods. I have worked effectively with a wide range of students, from entry level upwards, using different teaching resources and methods to engage with individual learners.

My academic work has given me a passion for the subjects I tutor and this is something I want to pass on to other learners. One of my specialist areas is mathematical/physical mechanics – I achieved a perfect score in my A Level Mathematics mechanics paper.
